Street Sweeping Begins!

Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) is reminding residents that street sweeping season starts tomorrow, April 1, and is asking people to check the red and white signs on their block for parking restrictions and move their car on their street sweeping day to avoid a $50 citation.

Denver’s annual street sweeping program removes dirt and debris off city streets, keeping it out of our air and water and making our environment cleaner and healthier. Denver asks residents to move their cars on their street sweeping day so the sweepers can reach all the way to the curb line where dirt accumulates. The removal of debris also prevents storm sewer inlets from getting clogged.

In addition to checking the red and white signs on their block, residents can look up street sweeping schedules and sign up for email/text reminders at www.pocketgov.com. The posted street season runs April through November.

Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation

Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation’s mission is to advocate for Denver citizens by bringing together, informing and empowering Denver neighborhood organizations to actively engage in addressing city issues.

Denver INC (Inter Neighborhood Cooperation) is a voluntary, non-profit coalition of representatives from Denver’s registered neighborhood organizations (RNO’s), city agencies and others that gather to promote responsible city change and growth.

INC believes that individual neighborhoods are stronger when they work together and learn from one another.  Our structured coalition enables Denver’s neighborhoods to speak in a unified voice to City officials about such things as zoning, transportation, education, parks and recreation, and public safety.

INC was established in 1975 and operates as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization and is managed by volunteers.

East Yale Avenue Corridor Study

The Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) is studying the East Yale Avenue Corridor from Downing Street to the High Line Canal trail connection to create a package of projects that puts people first.
